The next seminar will be on 9th June, when Dr Masaya Kataoka from NPL will talk on Electron quantum optics for electrical metrology

- October 2020: Congratulations to Dr Alessandro Rossi on the award of a prestigious UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship! Alessandro’s project is entitled “Quantum Electronics in Silicon Carbide (QELTIC)” and aims to develop the first generation of electronic devices to address quantum states in silicon carbide (SiC). October 2020: Sretno, Lucia! We held a virtual goodbye party for Lucia, who is off to work for work for Quorum Technologies in Lewes. Ruth won the cake competition with her lemon cheesecake cupcakes. (Sorry, no saltire in my Eurovision bunting.)

- 15 May 2012: EPRSC grant (£481,554) awarded to Dr Carol Trager-Cowan and Dr Ben Hourahine for Nanoscale characterisation of nitride semiconductor thin films using EBSD, ECCI, CL and EBIC, in collaboration with colleagues from Strathclyde’s Department of Mathematics & Statistics, the Universities of Bath, Nottingham, Oxford and Sheffield, and Imperial College.
- 30 April – 4 May 2012: Three images from the group are included in Images of Research 2012: An Exhibition of Strathclyde’s Impact.
- 10–15 July 2011: The International Conference on Nitride Semiconductors (ICNS) was held in Glasgow.
